Romance is a genre that most men despise.
So how could this kind of novel be made to suit guys?
The first step: lots of action, of more than one sort
Such as hot monkey sex or gun violence or sports.
Pursuant to that, one must re-write any ending that implies
The man has to give up all the action that made him a guy.
To imply the man needs changing is out of the question.
For one thing, men don't change, plus we're hurt by the suggestion.
Finally, for the romance-book and guys to make amends
The female lead can't make the man break up with all his friends.
