A Breeze to Enjoy

The present's not always a breeze to enjoy
I've mistrusted the world since I was a boy.
At the very least, it's a dangerous time.
Uncertainty and bad decisions may align,
But such a temporal vortex has a poetry to it,
Timelines intersect beautifully, even if you blew it.

Many fear the present for these reasons.
It's hard not to look ahead or long for bygone seasons
Unless you make the present a habit.  Then, prepare yourself
For trouble thinking of anytime else.
