Facebook, Pt. 1

The breakup shook me.  I don't know why.
Love made of me a fool who didn't realize
That in the age of Facebook, it's never goodbye,
Just the end of trying each other on for size.
Now we're just trying.  We snipe and we spy.
We passive-aggressively call out, but deny
That we miss each other, miss us, that we cry.

I should have known that I'd make you a wife,
Or else a mistake that sticks with me for life.
