Why I Write, Part x+145: Fruitful Generations

The mind is fertile, virile, insistent,
Producing fruitful generations in minutes,
Families with fathers outstripped by their sons,
Or never matching what their ancestors done.

They rarely grow as they live on, forever, early old,
Always doing what they grew up doing -- rarely what they're told.
They are of old, too, 'fore sterile science mastered man.
The ideas meet, and new generations rise unplanned.
