My life changed,
Though that's selfishly beside the point.

Is too long to remember,
But not enough time to forget.

Is one third of my life
Or half of hers.
Though she was born first,
I'm older than she'll ever be.
Some of us don't need as long.

When I heard, I said "nobody ever tells me anything."
There is no right thing to say,
But that was the wrong answer.
