A gathering gaggle of lollygaggers
At a snaggletoothed four-way stop
Give me an excuse to reach into the black of me,
Seeping and sapping the last of my day's energy.
Sleeping and napping the daylight of my evening away
Laced a moment of rage with a measure of regret.
Every inch and minute of it was a waste.
