Hurry Up and Wait

I have known more than the kiss of hurry-up-and-wait.
I have made it mine, and named it hurry-up-and-relax,
Time preservation by procrastination,
Getting ahead to enjoy getting behind again,
Not living for today or tomorrow,
But for a temporary absence of demands.
