As Red As Me

I want to see what color you bleed.

It couldn't be as red as me,
Because you aren't living.
While I covet my freedom,
You are twice imprisoned,
Chained to your barred life
By your enslaved brain.
You toil to preserve
The makings of your own walls.
It would sicken me with pity
If it didn't quicken me with rage.

To be perfectly honest,
I've stepped on ants
Who were bigger than you.
