I was just tossing a baseball to myself
and trying not to think about the
physics,
Just minding my own business,
Which is easily the newest,
Saddest,
and most tranquil of my hobbies,
When an old acquaintance interrupted
me.
Walking away with a friend, she
described me,
Incorrectly,
and I whispered “that asshole,”
affectionately,
But the Doctrine of Original Sin is
with me.
I am actually right,
and an asshole.
