Why I Write, Part x+151: All Else Fails

When I feel it free-falling, I know what to do.

The first step I take is to crank up the tunes,
Though sometimes music grates sharply and falls flat.
There's a couple of things I can do about that.

Believe it or not, I'm possessed of a few friends
Who have brought other falls to abrupt, splatless ends,
But they are not always available.

When all else fails, the Holy Spirit zaps me in the head,
and turns me into a poet.
I suppose it's direct and unsubtle, but it helps.
I directly cease to annoy myself
(Though I may just spread my hell to everyone else).
