Familiar With the Anticipation

I am all-familiar with the anticipation,
The awkward silence of waiting.
It's like the shifting I have seen
From close to careful-space-between.
I think that I know what it means.

Too shy for openly ranting and raving,
Too shy to know how to hide such a craving,
A road to mutual dissatisfaction they're paving.

I suppose I've behaved as they are behaving.
