People preconceive prewriting
As cogitation, notation,
organization,
But it ought to begin with inspiration,
and then proceed to trepidation
(Because they are not good ideas
Until they start to make me nervous).
Once I embark upon perspiration,
I am no longer prewriting, but writing;
That part is always worth the
waiting.
