Why I Write, Part x+223: Minutiae of Belief

My first novel hacked a path for all those after

Because I believed in the character.

The second time, I believed in the story–I've lived it.

Now, I write because I believe the message in it.

Perhaps, in this novel, or the next, or the next

I will gain the experience to believe in the process,

and perhaps after writing many more,

I may even learn to believe in the author.
