The Road Less Trifled

It was not his words,
Nor his way with words.
It was not what he said,
But his way of saying,
and his way of saying little.

It said a lot.

He had an air about him
(and he displaced a lot of it),
The air of a man rarely trifled with,

So I trifled,
and it has made all the difference.
