Paradise is one word with a million definitions,
Some of which can't be sustained in permanent existence.
If ignorance is bliss, then paradise is childhood innocence.
If absence makes the heart grow fondest, paradise is what you miss,
But location's impermanent, while innocence is fleeting.
For a death row inmate, paradise is choosing what he's eating.
For many millions, paradise has religious connotations.
Given all this, it's no wonder that the word needs explanation.
