They say that men were made equal by
Sam Colt and his .45,
But biology's been the great equalizer
since people were alive –
and it will always be so, as long as
all must one day die.
There are those who would claim a
superior place, above others,
But the chaste still have lusts, the
pacifists anger, even toward mothers.
The rich and the poor, the non-descript
and the famous singers
Have the same number of kidneys, and a
low cap on fingers.
Blood antigens span prejudice, in the
same colors – for there are two.
Everyone's blood dances on the rainbow,
from red to blue.
And race? Everyone's brown, not blue
like smurfs or green like witches,
And even the Pope and the saints
themselves suffer undignified itches.
