I'm In a Hurry

You ask why I'm in a hurry,
and I'm sure you don't know it,
But that's a very personal question.
It is fraught with personality
And personal philosophy.
I love to stop and relax,
But the first without the second
Is as sex without nakedness --
Distracted and frustrating,
Certainly not satisfying.
I do not move unless I am going
Somewhere, or away from somewhere,
Which is somewhere in itself.
Tonight, I am going away from
Someone, and somewhere she is.
She's one of those people
Who interpret very narrowly
The phrase "pursuit of happiness"
As the pursuit of wealth.
I cannot stand that in the least.
