I'm not the kind who's always doing things,
But occasionally I get the hankering.
I've been around, been looking,
and they have lots of things for teenagers
(I stay away from there),
and college kids who live on campus
(I'm from the wrong neighborhood
and have the hairline of their grampas),
and adults
Whom I am the least like of all,
But nothing for poets who don't fit in.
We are built and destined for solitude,
Not necessarily in that order.
