No matter how you push me, I'll
continue to refuse
A life that follows from an internship
of two decades watching tube,
This post-modern simulacrum of the
state of family
As people that you sleep near, and eat
near, and never see.
Instead, I choose a life of connections
voluntary, real,
and for my second choice, if needed,
I'd rather none at all.
