Why I Write, Part x+187: For My Friends

Before leaving more than a movie's-cast of friends

I really want to write a poem for them,

Though friendship is the only thing in the humanverse

Older than verse,

and I couldn't come close to doing justice.

I begin to think I haven't written it

Because I don't really want to,

Because it means I'll have to go.
