Why I Write, Part x+98: Custom Combinations

The muse takes my order every time that I write,
Creating custom combinations of things that I like:
Archeology and scientific exploration
Compared to the curious feline persuasion,
The landscapes and seascapes of ever-changing Hawai'i
Resemble changeable women who are always just right;
The Montanan weather's dangerous beauties
Are like God or like gambling or redheaded cuties;
Writing itself, which I think is a blast
Is precise and collaborative, a literary screen pass.
I might stroll metaphors, run them hard for a mile,
Amusing myself, showing off all the while.
Sometimes I'm unsure what I ought to write next,
So I try something easy, write of baseball and sex.
