Six billion people makes twelve billion
eyes.
It's only good sense when we build a
disguise.
Their safety can hide us, like curtains
and shields,
Or, if used to get something, they're
swords that we wield,
But you dress up different. You're
costumed but real.
You curtain your reasons, but show what
you feel.
I've seen your wholeness, and I've seen
you scars.
Illusions die beautifully if you kiss
them too hard.
