Together in the Dark

Workin' and savin' to get in the money,
Workin' and savin to meet and please Honey.
I circled what I wanted, efficient, a shark
'Til everything I wanted ran off together in the dark.
It didn't seem fair, but in the end it was right
That I lost everything I thought I had in life.
It was the only way I'd listen, the best way of being told
That there's more in life than the money and the girl.
