Why I Write, Part x+240: Questionable Motives

I know there's a line between self-reliant

and just being defiant,

But I have never seen it for myself.

I'm a basement-dweller

Who knows lightening by the thunder,

and so I'm left to wonder–

Do I write because they can't stop me,

Or because they keep trying?
