Personal
A tasty cocktail of literary pretension, sneaky kindness and sarcasm
Needs solid, buttressed convictions to bridge personal chasms.
A sprinkler of brilliance that turns in all directions
From her well-designed form cannot long evade detection.
An enormous, aware iconoclast in politically incorrect coating
Can replace the day or garnish it. Depends on how it's going.
An open-armed, crystal-voiced smile dispenser
Makes it impossible to ignore or forget her.
A human metronome with propellers and an airhorn glued on top
Can help to keep you going, and he'll surely make you stop.
In life, who your friends are counts for a lot,
Maybe everything.

Friends definitely count for everything when it comes to my writing. Regardless of their execution, every poem I write has a good idea behind it, and for the most part, they're not my ideas.
