Hallways and Rooms

Modern life seeks a balance between hallways and rooms.
In a labyrinth of short journeys and tame interludes,
I was pulled off course by the siren song of football on the radio,
Tempted into someroom I was not supposed to go,

and that is precisely why I stayed.
